A chiropractor can help someone with fatigue or lack of energy by ensuring nerves are functioning optimally. This allows the brain to communicate with the rest of the body better.
The nervous system is made up of the autonomic nervous system and the sympathetic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system impacts energy levels by regulating body functions like heart rate, metabolism, and digestion. The sympathetic nervous system increases energy by releasing hormones that promote relaxation to conserve energy.
For those new to chiropractic care, the first visit starts with a preliminary screening to determine if a vertebral subluxation is at the root of the problem. That includes a visual posture evaluation and palpation of the spine, checking for alignment, inflammation, and muscle tone. If these tests show us positive findings, then we have a conversation with the patient about their chief complaint. If we confirm that there is subluxation at the root of the problem, then we do a computerized posture evaluation and take digital X-rays to determine the severity. We can then give specific recommendations on how long it will take to fix, how often they would need to come in, and what their responsibility would be.
One of the top benefits of chiropractic care is stress reduction because it promotes relaxation, increases overall health and wellness, and improves sleep quality by relieving pain and improving posture. This helps the individual handle stress better, leading to less fatigue and increased energy.
